Zebrafish Alcama Antibody / Neurolin
Alcama is prominently expressed in developing neurons, where it mediates axon fasciculation and growth cone navigation, facilitating the formation of organized neuronal tracts. In addition to its role in neurodevelopment, zebrafish Alcama is expressed in vascular endothelial cells and hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs), where it contributes to vasculogenesis, vascular remodeling, and stem cell niche formation. Due to its conserved structure and multifunctional roles, zebrafish Alcama is a valuable model for studying cell adhesion dynamics, nervous system wiring, hematopoietic development, and angiogenesis. It is also used in research related to immune cell migration, axon pathfinding disorders, and regenerative medicine.
