Zebrafish Androgen receptor Antibody / AR
Upon binding to its ligands, the zebrafish AR translocates to the nucleus, where it regulates the transcription of target genes involved in gonadal development, spermatogenesis, muscle growth, and behavioral traits associated with reproduction. Zebrafish express a single ar gene that is highly conserved with its mammalian counterparts and is expressed in tissues such as the gonads, brain, liver, and skin. Zebrafish AR is widely used as a model for investigating androgen signaling pathways, endocrine disruption, and the mechanisms of sex hormone regulation in vertebrates. It is also of particular interest in toxicological studies, where it serves as a biomarker for assessing the effects of androgenic or anti-androgenic compounds in aquatic environments.
