Anti-IKAP (N-terminal) Antibody

The transcription factor NF-kappaB coordinates the activation of numerous genes in response to pathogens and pro-inflammatory cytokines, and is, therefore, vital in the development of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases. NF-kappaB is activated by cytokine-activated IKB kinases (IKKs) ; IKK-alpha and IKK-beta isozymes are found in large complexes These large, interleukin-1-inducible IKK complexes have been found to contain a new protein, termed IKK-complex-associated protein (IKAP), which can bind NIK and IKKs and assemble them into an active kinase complex. IKAP is a scaffold protein and a regulator for three different kinases involved in pro-inflammatory cytokine signaling.

Recommended that the undiluted antibody be aliquoted into smaller working volumes (10-30 uL/vial depending on usage) upon arrival and stored long term at -20° C or -80° C, while keeping a working aliquot stored at 4° C for short term. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Stable for at least 1 year.
