Mini Sample Mouse LIX (Liposaccharide-Induced CXC chemokine) ELISA Kit
Product Specifications
Background
Mouse LIX also known as lipopolysaccharide-induced CXC chemokine or CXCL5 is a member of the CXC chemokine family. This secreted protein is processed into active fragments of approximately 8-9 kDa and signals through the CXCR2 receptor. It is expressed in monocytes, platelets, endothelial cells, and mast cells. LIX functions as a chemoattractant for neutrophils and is involved in neutrophil activation. It participates in the recruitment of inflammatory cells to injured or infected tissues and has been implicated in inflammatory responses and tumor microenvironment regulation.

Assay Principle
This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse LIX. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Mouse LIX and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Mouse LIX, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 5 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Mouse LIX. You can calculate the concentration of Mouse LIX in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
