Mini Sample Mouse F3/TF (Tissue factor) ELISA Kit

Tissue Factor also known as coagulation factor III or CD142 is an important player in the blood coagulation process.This protein with a molecular mass of approximately 47 kDa is a transmembrane glycoprotein. It is expressed widely in various tissues including the lungs heart and brain and plays an important role in initiating the coagulation cascade when exposed to blood. In endothelial cells tissue factor is generally not present unless these cells are in a state of disturbance supporting its role as a primary defense mechanism against vascular injury.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse F3/TF. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Mouse F3/TF and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Mouse F3/TF, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 5 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Mouse F3/TF. You can calculate the concentration of Mouse F3/TF in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
