Dilution
Cytokine that binds to CD40/TNFRSF5. Costimulates T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. Its cross-linking on T-cells generates a costimulatory signal which enhances the production of IL4 and IL10 in conjunction with the TCR/CD3 ligation and CD28 costimulation. Induces the activation of NF-kappa-B and kinases MAPK8 and PAK2 in T-cells (By similarity) . Mediates B-cell proliferation in the absence of co-stimulus as well as IgE production in the presence of IL4. Involved in immunoglobulin class switching (PubMed:1374165) .
Format
PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Reconstitution
Store at 4C for up to 3 months. For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20C.
Fragment
IgG, kappa
Specificity
This antibody is specific for murine CD40 ligand (CD40L), a 39 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein. CD40L is expressed transiently by activated T cells. Through its binding to CD40 on antigen presenting cells (APC) including B cells, monocytes/macrophages, and dendritic cells, it serves a crucial function in T cell-APC cognate interaction. CD40L-interaction with CD40 transduces signals for T-dependent B cell activation and induces B cells to enter the cell cycle.
