1-O-4-Hydroxybenzoyl-glycerol is an antimicrobial agent against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and Fusarium culmorum (20 mM, maximum inhibition rate: 70%) . 1-O- (4-Hydroxybenzoyl) -glycerol stimulates low skin irritation[1].
