PC190723 is a bacterial cytosolic protein FtsZ inhibitor (IC50: 55 ng/ml) with antimicrobial activity that inhibits Staphylococcus spp. PC190723 enhances the high-affinity conformational stability of FtsZ proteins, stabilizing the polymer to prevent disassembly by preferentially binding to each assembled protein.
