Multi-species (Ferret, Mink) CX3CL1 (Fractalkine) Recombinant Protein
The Ferret/Mink CX3CL1 yeast-derived recombinant protein is not tagged and is naturally endotoxin-free. The purity is greater than 98% as visualized by SDS-PAGE analysis. Ferret CX3CL1 applications are for cell culture, ELISA standard, and Western Blot Control. Ferret CX3CL1 yeast-derived recombinant protein can be purchased in multiple sizes. Product Specifications
Background
CX3CL1, also known as Fractalkine, is a member of the chemokine family. It has two functional forms: membrane-anchored CX3CL1 and soluble CX3CL1. Soluble CX3CL1 chemoattracts T cells and monocytes, while the cell-bound chemokine promotes strong adhesion of leukocytes to activated endothelial cells, where it is primarily expressed. CX3CL1 elicits its adhesive and migratory functions by interacting with the chemokine receptor CX3CR1.
