Background

CXCL3 belongs to the CXC chemokine family and is also known as GRO gamma and macrophage inflammatory protein-2-beta (MIP2b) . CXCL3 controls migration and adhesion of monocytes and mediates its effects on its target cell by interacting with CXCR2. CXCL1, CXCL2, and CXCL3 are well known as powerful neutrophil chemoattractants and are involved in cancer metastasis, angiogenesis, and wound healing.
