Other required materials and reagents are not supplied. The antibodies have been determined to function in an ELISpot with the Standard Control provided. Components may also be purchased separately. Background

Neurophysins are carrier proteins which transport hormones from the hypothalamus to the posterior pituitary gland. Neurophysin-1 (NP-1) transports oxytocin. Neurophysin-2 transports vasopressin. NP-1 is produced in the cell bodies of the paraventricular and supraoptic nuclei and transported to its site of release in the axon terminals of the posterior pituitary.
