Product Specifications
Background
CXCL5 is a member of the CXC chemokine family and is also known as epithelial-derived neutrophil-activating peptide 78 (ENA-78) . It is produced following stimulation of cells with the inflammatory cytokines, including IL-1 and TNF-alpha. Expression of CXCL5 has also been observed in eosinophils, and can be inhibited with IFN-γ. CXCL5 stimulates the chemotaxis of neutrophils. CXCL5 has been shown to play a role in conditions ranging from sun burn to cystitis and athrosclerosis.
