Members of this family share partial homology in their amino acid sequences, but they are dissimilar in their biological functions. Produced by activated T-lymphocytes and dendritic cells, IL10 contributes to the inflammatory responsein vivo. IL22 uses CRF2-4, a member of the class II cytokine receptor family, and IL22R, IL22 receptor, to produce its downstream effects.
