4-Methylumbelliferyl-α-D-glucopyranoside is a fluorogenic substrate for the identification, characterization and kinetic analysis of α-glucosidase activity. It is routinely used as a substrate for the assay of acid α-glucosidase in the diagnosis of Pompe's disease.
