Nitrovin
Nitrovin is a C-nitro compound with its NO2group attached to a carbon atom. This reagent is a nitrofuran and guanidine which can be applied in chemistry as an organic building block. In animal feed, it was an antibacterial which promoted high blood concentration of sulphadimidine. It also functioned as a growth promoter for livestock like poultry, pigs and cows before being removed from the list of accepted additives. This was due to evidence of pathological effects associated with concentrated growth of certain organs like the liver.Nitrovin also proved to be directly mutagenic toSalmonella typhimuriumTA 98 and TA 100 depending on concentration. Other studies have been conducted to demonstrate drug resistance inE. colistrains after food-additive administration.Product SpecificationsNitrovinDifurazone1,5-bis (5-Nitro-2-furyl) -3-pentadienoneamidinonhydrazoneFormula:C14H12N6O6MW:360.28 g/mol
