L-Sorbose
L-Sorbose is a ketohexose monosaccharide. It is often used in the commercial production of ascorbic acid. L-Sorbitol can be produced by fermentation of sorbitol by various bacteria. L-Sorbose induces expression of a variety of enzymes in the fungusTrichoderma reesei, including cellulases, xylanases, and α-arabinofuranosidases. L-Sorbose causes changes in the composition of cell walls in many fungi resulting in morphological changes.Product SpecificationsL-Sorbose; L-Sorbinose; L-xylo-Hexulose; Formula: C6H12O6MW: 180.16 g/molPubChem Chemical ID:6904
