Miltefosine
Miltefosine is a biologically active alkylphospholipid that inhibits protein kinase C and phosphatidylcholine synthesis. It has been shown to induce apoptosis of a variety of cancer cell lines. Additionally, miltefosine is used against leishmaniasis and metronidazole-resistant and -susceptible strains ofTrichomonas vaginalis.
