FGF-5 Recombinant Protein
Product Specifications
Background
FGF-5 is a secreted heparin binding growth factor that belongs to the FGF family. Proteins of this family play a central role during prenatal development and postnatal growth and regeneration of a variety of tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF-5 binds to FGFR 1c and 2c, and plays a regulatory role in the hair growth cycle. Recombinant human FGF-5 is a 27.6 kDa protein consisting of 252 amino acid residues.

Storage Conditions
The lyophilized FGF-5 recombinant protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20˚ C. Reconstituted FGF-5 is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20˚ C. As with any protein, exposing FGF-5 recombinant protein to repeated freeze / thaw cycles is not recommended. When working with proteins care should be taken to keep recombinant protein at a cool and stable temperature.
