Applications Notes

Clusterin antibody can be used for detection of human clusterin by immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry (frozen sections), immunoprecipitation, and western blot (1:2,000) . Method: : Endogenous human Clusterin and recombinant FLAG-tagged Clusterin from cell lysates were resolved by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, transferred to nitrocellulose and incubated with a 1:2,000 dilution of the CL1-9 antibody on the left or with an anti-FLAG epitope-tag antibody on the right. Proteins were visualized using an HRP-conjugated anti-mouse IgG antibody and a chemiluminescence detection system.

Background Reference 01

BAFF, a novel ligand of the tumor necrosis factor family, stimulates B cell growth: P. Schneider, et al.; J. Exp. Med. 189, 1747 (1999) .

Background Reference 02

BAFF binds to the tumor necrosis factor receptor-like molecule B cell maturation antigen and is important for maintaining the peripheral B cell population: J.S. Thompson, et al.; J. Exp. Med. 192, 129 (2000) .

Background Reference 03

A soluble form of B cell maturation antigen, a receptor for the tumor necrosis factor family member APRIL, inhibits tumor cell growth: P. Rennert, et al.; J. Exp. Med. 192, 1677 (2000) .
