Persephin Antibody

Persephin signals through a multicomponent receptor system, composed of RET and one of four GFR alpha (alpha1-alpha4) receptors. The GFRalpha4 was first identified in chicken and was later shown to be the preferential binding subunit for Persephin. In contrast to GDNF and Neurturin, Persephin does not support survival of peripheral neurons.

Produced from sera of rabbits pre-immunized with highly pure (>98%) recombinant hPersephin. Human Persephin specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing immobilized hPersephin matrix.

Persephin antibody is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20˚ C. The reconstituted antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-8˚ C. Frozen aliquots are stable for at least 6 months when stored at -20˚ C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
