MTL5 Antibody

Metallothionein proteins are highly conserved low-molecular-weight cysteine-rich proteins that are induced by and bind to heavy metal ions and have no enzymatic activity. They may play a central role in the regulation of cell growth and differentiation and are involved in spermatogenesis. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store MTL5 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

MTL5 antibody can be used for detection of MTL5 by ELISA at 1:312500. MTL5 antibody can be used for detection of MTL5 by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
