PAX8 Antibody

PAX8 is a member of the paired box (PAX) family of transcription factors. Members of this family typically contain a paired box domain, an octapeptide, and a paired-type homeodomain. This nuclear protein is involved in thyroid follicular cell development and expression of thyroid-specific genes. Mutations in its gene have been associated with thyroid dysgenesis, thyroid follicular carcinomas and atypical follicular thyroid adenomas.This gene is a member of the paired box (PAX) family of transcription factors. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.

For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store PAX8 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

PAX8 antibody can be used for detection of PAX8 by ELISA at 1:62500. PAX8 antibody can be used for detection of PAX8 by western blot at 0.25 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
