ALDH4A1 Antibody

ALDH4A1 belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family of proteins. This enzyme is a mitochondrial matrix NAD-dependent dehydrogenase which catalyzes the second step of the proline degradation pathway, converting pyrroline-5-carboxylate to glutamate. Deficiency of this enzyme is associated with type II hyperprolinemia, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by accumulation of delta-1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate (P5C) and proline.This protein belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family of proteins. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store ALDH4A1 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

ALDH4A1 antibody can be used for detection of ALDH4A1 by western blot at 1.25 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
