RAD18 Antibody

RAD18 is highly similar to S. cerevisiae DNA damage repair protein Rad18. Yeast Rad18 functions through its interaction with Rad6, which is an ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme required for post-replication repair of damaged DNA. Similar to its yeast counterpart, RAD18 is able to interact with the human homolog of yeast Rad6 protein through a conserved ring-finger motif. Mutation of this motif results in defective replication of UV-damaged DNA and hypersensitivity to multiple mutagens. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store RAD18 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

RAD18 antibody can be used for detection of RAD18 by ELISA at 1:312500. RAD18 antibody can be used for detection of RAD18 by western blot at 0.5 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
