FADS1 Antibody

FADS1 is a member of the fatty acid desaturase (FADS) family. Desaturase enzymes regulate unsaturation of fatty acids through the introduction of double bonds between defined carbons of the fatty acyl chain. FADS family members are considered fusion products composed of an N-terminal cytochrome b5-like domain and a C-terminal multiple membrane-spanning desaturase portion, both of which are characterized by conserved histidine motifs.The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fatty acid desaturase (FADS) gene family. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store FADS1 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

FADS1 antibody can be used for detection of FADS1 by ELISA at 1:312500. FADS1 antibody can be used for detection of FADS1 by western blot at 2.5 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
