SEMG1 Antibody

SEMG1 is the predominant protein in semen. The secreted protein is involved in the formation of a gel matrix that encases ejaculated spermatozoa. The prostate-specific antigen (PSA) protease processes this protein into smaller peptides, with each possibly having a separate function. The proteolysis process breaks down the gel matrix and allows the spermatozoa to move more freely.The protein encoded by this gene is the predominant protein in semen. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store SEMG1 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

SEMG1 antibody can be used for detection of SEMG1 by ELISA at 1:62500. SEMG1 antibody can be used for detection of SEMG1 by western blot at 1.25 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
