This gene is one of three similar cation transporter genes located in a cluster on chromosome 6. The encoded protein contains twelve putative transmembrane domains and is a plasma integral membrane protein. Two transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene, but only the longer variant encodes a functional transporter.

For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store SLC22A1 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

SLC22A1 antibody can be used for detection of SLC22A1 by ELISA at 1:62500. SLC22A1 antibody can be used for detection of SLC22A1 by western blot at 2.5 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
