AKAP7 Antibody

AKAP7 is a member of the A-kinase anchoring protein (AKAP) family, a group of functionally related proteins that bind to a regulatory subunit (RII) of cAMP-dependent protein kinase A (PKA) and target the enzyme to specific subcellular compartments. AKAPs have a common RII-binding domain, but contain different targeting motifs responsible for directing PKA to distinct intracellular locations. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store AKAP7 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

AKAP7 antibody can be used for detection of AKAP7 by ELISA at 1:312500. AKAP7 antibody can be used for detection of AKAP7 by western blot at 1.25 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
