ZIC2 Antibody

ZIC2 is a member of the ZIC family of C2H2-type zinc finger proteins. This protein functions as a transcriptional repressor and may regulate tissue specific expression of dopamine receptor D1. Mutations in this gene cause holoprosencephaly type 5. Holoprosencephaly is the most common structural anomaly of the human brain. A polyhistidine tract polymorphism in this gene may be associated with increased risk of neural tube defects.This gene encodes a member of the ZIC family of C2H2-type zinc finger proteins. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store ZIC2 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

ZIC2 antibody can be used for detection of ZIC2 by ELISA at 1:62500. ZIC2 antibody can be used for detection of ZIC2 by western blot at 0.25 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
