HOXB7 Antibody

HOXB7 belongs to the homeobox family. The homeobox genes encode a highly conserved family of transcription factors that play an important role in morphogenesis in all multicellular organisms. Mammals possess four similar homeobox gene clusters, HOXA, HOXBThis gene is a member of the Antp homeobox family and encodes a protein with a homeobox DNA-binding domain. It is included in a cluster of homeobox B genes located on chromosome 17. The encoded nuclear protein functions as a sequence-specific transcription factor that is involved in cell proliferation and differentiation. Increased expression of this gene is associated with some cases of melanoma and ovarian carcinoma.

For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store HOXB7 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

HOXB7 antibody can be used for detection of HOXB7 by ELISA at 1:62500. HOXB7 antibody can be used for detection of HOXB7 by western blot at 1.25 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
