LMX1A Antibody

Insulin is produced exclusively by the beta cells in the islets of Langerhans in the pancreas. The level and beta-cell specificity of insulin gene expression are regulated by a set of nuclear genes that bind to specific sequences within the promoter of the insulin gene (INS; MIM 176730) and interact with RNA polymerase to activate or repress transcription. LMX1 is a homeodomain protein that binds an A/T-rich sequence in the insulin promoter and stimulates transcription of insulin. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store LMX1A antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

LMX1A antibody can be used for detection of LMX1A by ELISA at 1:62500. LMX1A antibody can be used for detection of LMX1A by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
