EN1 Antibody

Homeobox-containing genes are thought to have a role in controlling development. In Drosophila, the 'engrailed' (en) gene plays an important role during development in segmentation, where it is required for the formation of posterior compartments. Different mutations in the mouse homologs, En1 and En2, produced different developmental defects that frequently are lethal. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store EN1 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

EN1 antibody can be used for detection of EN1 by ELISA at 1:312500. EN1 antibody can be used for detection of EN1 by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
