The mature form is predominant in innervated adult muscle and the embryonic form is present in fetal and denervated muscle. Embryonic and mature AChR differ by the replacement of the gamma subunit in the pentameric glycoprotein complex by its isoform, the epsilon subunit, which is specific to the mature AChR subtype. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store CHRNG antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

CHRNG antibody can be used for detection of CHRNG by ELISA at 1:312500. CHRNG antibody can be used for detection of CHRNG by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
