Background
DDAH2 hydrolyzes N (G), N (G) -dimethyl-L-arginine (ADMA) and N (G) -monomethyl-L-arginine (MMA) which act as inhibitors of NOS. DDAH2 has therefore a role in nitric oxide generation.This gene belongs to the dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase (DDAH) gene family. The encoded enzyme plays a role in nitric oxide generation by regulating cellular concentrations of methylarginines, which in turn inhibit nitric oxide synthase activity. DDAH2 antibody can be used for detection of DDAH2 by ELISA at 1:1562500. DDAH2 antibody can be used for detection of DDAH2 by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
