IL9 Antibody

IL9 is a cytokine that acts as a regulator of a variety of hematopoietic cells. This cytokine stimulates cell proliferation and prevents apoptosis. It functions through the interleukin 9 receptor (IL9R), which activates different signal transducer and activator (STAT) proteins and thus connects this cytokine to various biological processes. The gene encoding IL9 has been identified as a candidate gene for asthma. Genetic studies on a mouse model of asthma demonstrated that IL9 is a determining factor in the pathogenesis of bronchial hyperresponsiveness. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store IL9 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

IL9 antibody can be used for detection of IL9 by ELISA at 1:62500. IL9 antibody can be used for detection of IL9 by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
