ELA1 Antibody

Elastases form a subfamily of serine proteases that hydrolyze many proteins in addition to elastin. Humans have six structurally similar proteins elastase 1, 2, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B. Unlike other elastases, pancreatic elastase 1 is not expressed in the pancreas. To date, elastase 1 (ELA1) expression has only been detected in skin keratinocytes. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store ELA1 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

ELA1 antibody can be used for detection of ELA1 by ELISA at 1:62500. ELA1 antibody can be used for detection of ELA1 by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
