EDAR Antibody

EDAR is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor family. It is a receptor for the soluble ligand ectodysplasin A, and can activate the nuclear factor-kappaB, JNK, and caspase-independent cell death pathways. It is required for the development of hair, teeth, and other ectodermal derivatives. Mutations in the gene encoding EDAR result in autosomal dominant and recessive forms of hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia.This gene encodes a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor family. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store EDAR antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

EDAR antibody can be used for detection of EDAR by ELISA at 1:12500. EDAR antibody can be used for detection of EDAR by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
