DEGS1 Antibody

DEGS1 is a member of the membrane fatty acid desaturase family which is responsible for inserting double bonds into specific positions in fatty acids. This protein contains three His-containing consensus motifs that are characteristic of a group of membrane fatty acid desaturases. It is predicted to be a multiple membrane-spanning protein localized to the endoplasmic reticulum. Overexpression of this protein inhibited biosynthesis of the EGF receptor, suggesting a possible role of a fatty acid desaturase in regulating biosynthetic processing of the EGF receptor.This gene encodes a member of the membrane fatty acid desaturase family which is responsible for inserting double bonds into specific positions in fatty acids. Two splice variants have been identified.

For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store DEGS1 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

DEGS1 antibody can be used for detection of DEGS1 by ELISA at 1:312500. DEGS1 antibody can be used for detection of DEGS1 by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
