DSG2 Antibody

Desmosomes are cell-cell junctions between epithelial, myocardial, and certain other cell types. DSG2 is a calcium-binding transmembrane glycoprotein component of desmosomes in vertebrate epithelial cells. Currently, three desmoglein subfamily members have been identified and all are members of the cadherin cell adhesion molecule superfamily. These desmoglein gene family members are located in a cluster on chromosome 18. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store DSG2 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

DSG2 antibody can be used for detection of DSG2 by ELISA at 1:1562500. DSG2 antibody can be used for detection of DSG2 by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
