Voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels represent the most complex class of voltage-gated ion channels from both functional and structural standpoints. Their diverse functions include regulating neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion, neuronal excitability, epithelial electrolyte transport, smooth muscle contraction, and cell volume. KCNH7 is a member of the potassium channel, voltage-gated, subfamily H. This member is a pore-forming (alpha) subunit. There are at least two alternatively spliced transcript variants derived from this gene and encoding distinct isoforms.

For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store KCNH7 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

KCNH7 antibody can be used for detection of KCNH7 by ELISA at 1:62500. KCNH7 antibody can be used for detection of KCNH7 by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
