XK Antibody

This locus controls the synthesis of the Kell blood group 'precursor substance' (Kx) . Mutations in this gene have been associated with McLeod syndrome, an X-linked, recessive disorder characterized by abnormalities in the neuromuscular and hematopoietic systems. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store XK antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

XK antibody can be used for detection of XK by ELISA at 1:12500. XK antibody can be used for detection of XK by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
