ERP72 Protein, Human, Recombinant (hFc Tag)

ERP72, also known as PDIA4, is an endoplasmic reticulum luminal protein which belongs to the protein disulfide isomerase family. ERP72 is a stress protein and participates in the catalysis of protein-S-S-bond rearrangement. Both PDIA4 and PDIA3 function as proteases, protein disulfide isomerases, phospholipases or an arrangement of these. ERP72 compose part of a large chaperone multiprotein complex comprising CABP1, DNAJB11, HSP90B1, HSPA5, HYOU, PDIA2, PDIA4, PPIB, SDF2L1, UGT1A1 and very small amounts of ERP29, but not, or at very low levels, CALR nor CANX.

At Leading Biology, the biological activity of a recombinant protein is routinely measured using a bioassay, e.g. chemotaxis or cell proliferation assay, enzyme assay, or a functional ELISA. When a recombinant protein is an enzyme, specific activity is derived from an enzymatic assay. Each enzyme is tested for potency by cleavage of a substrate. The recombinant human PDIA4/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 862 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 97.2 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 96 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions

In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid. They are shipped out with blue ice unless customers require otherwise. Stable for 1 year at -20°C or below from date of shipment. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and opening the cap. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
