LRRC15 Protein, Human, Recombinant (ECD, hFc Tag)

LRRC15 (Leucine-Rich Repeat Containing 15) is a Protein Coding gene. 2 alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported. The tumor antigen 15-leucine-rich repeat-containing membrane protein (LRRC15) is a transmembrane protein demonstrated to play important roles in cancer. LRRC15 is highly expressed in multiple solid tumor indications with limited normal tissue expression. It was expressed on stromal fibroblasts in many solid tumors (e.g., breast, head, and neck, lung, pancreatic) as well as directly on a subset of cancer cells of mesenchymal origin (e.g., sarcoma, melanoma, glioblastoma) . The tumor antigen LRRC15, which is frequently overexpressed in multiple tumor types, as a repressor of cell death due to adenoviral p53.

When a recombinant protein is an enzyme, specific activity is derived from an enzymatic assay. Each enzyme is tested for potency by cleavage of a substrate. The recombinant human LRRC15 consists of 755 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 84.5 kDa. It migrates as an approximately 95.3 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.

In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid. They are shipped out with blue ice unless customers require otherwise. Stable for 1 year at -20°C or below from date of shipment. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and opening the cap. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
