CDC42BPB Protein, Human, Recombinant (His & GST Tag)

CDC42BPB is a member of the serine / threonine protein kinase family that contains a Cdc42 / Rsc-binding p21 binding domain similar to that of PAK kinase. The kinase domain of this protein is related to the myotonic dystrophy kinase related ROK and this kinase may have functions in downstream regulating of Cdc42 in cytoskeletal recognization. It has been reported that the CDC42BPB protein take part in regulating numerous cellular functions by binding to members of a serine / threonine protein kinase subfamily. These functions include the remodeling of the cell cytoskeleton that is a feature of cell growth and differentiation.

A DNA sequence encoding the amino acid (Met 1-His 427) of human CDC42BPB (Q9Y5S2) was fused with the N-terminal polyhistidine-tagged GST tag at the N-terminus.

The recombinant human CDC42BPB/GST chimera consists of 709 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 82.4 kDa. It migrates as an approximately 70 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.

In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid. They are shipped out with blue ice unless customers require otherwise. Stable for 1 year at -20°C or below from date of shipment. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and opening the cap. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
