Immunogen

The immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the middle region of human SSRP1

Target

SSRP1 is a subunit of a heterodimer that, along with SUPT16H, forms chromatin transcriptional elongation factor FACT. FACT interacts specifically with histones H2A/H2B to effect nucleosome disassembly and transcription elongation. FACT and cisplatin-damaged DNA may be crucial to the anticancer mechanism of cisplatin. SSRP1 contains a high mobility group box which most likely constitutes the structure recognition element for cisplatin-modified DNA. It also functions as a co-activator of the transcriptional activator p63. The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of a heterodimer that, along with SUPT16H, forms chromatin transcriptional elongation factor FACT. An alternatively spliced transcript variant of this gene has been described, but its full-length nature is not known. Reconstitution

All conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil) . Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
