Immunogen

The immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the C terminal region of human TP53

Target

TP53 acts as a tumor suppressor in many tumor types; induces growth arrest or apoptosis depending on the physiological circumstances and cell type. Involved in cell cycle regulation as a trans-activator that acts to negatively regulate cell division by controlling a set of genes required for this process.

Biotin

Type

Polyclonal Antibody

Applications

IHC, WB

Sample Type

TP53 is strongly supported by BioGPS gene expression data to be expressed in DU145

Concentration

0.5 mg/ml

Homology

Horse: 93%; Human: 100%; Rat: 92%

Format

Liquid. Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer.

Reconstitution

All conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil) . Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
