The immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the middle region of human EME1

Target

EME1 interacts with MUS81 to form a DNA structure-specific endonuclease with substrate preference for branched DNA structures with a 5'-end at the branch nick. Typical substrates include 3'-flap structures, replication forks and nicked Holliday junctions. EME1 may be required in mitosis for the processing of stalled or collapsed replication forks.EME1 and MUS81 (MIM 606591) form an endonuclease complex that cleaves branched DNA structures, especially those arising during stalled DNA replication (Abraham et al., 2003 [PubMed 14609959]) .[supplied by OMIM].

Reconstitution

All conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil) . Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
