NLGN4X is a member of a family of neuronal cell surface proteins. Members of this family may act as splice site-specific ligands for beta-neurexins and may be involved in the formation and remodeling of central nervous system synapses. It interacts with discs, large (Drosophila) homolog 4 (DLG4) . NLGN4X might play a role in the autism and Asperger syndrome.Western blots using two different antibodies against two unique regions of this protein target confirm the same apparent molecular weight in our tests. The encoded protein interacts with discs, large (Drosophila) homolog 4 (DLG4) . Mutations in this gene have been associated with autism and Asperger syndrome. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene.

All conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil) . Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
