Immunogen
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the N-terminal region of Rat Hat1
Target
Hat1 acetylates soluble but not nucleosomal histone H4 at 'Lys-5' (H4K5ac) and 'Lys-12' (H4K12ac) and, to a lesser extent, acetylates histone H2A at 'Lys-5' (H2AK5ac) . Hat1 has intrinsic substrate specificity that modifies lysine in recognition sequence GXGKXG. Hat1 may be involved in nucleosome assembly during DNA replication and repair as part of the histone H3.1 and H3.3 complexes.

Reconstitution
All conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil) . Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
