OAS2 Antibody - middle region : Biotin (ARP40852_P050-Biotin)

OAS2 is a member of the 2-5A synthetase family, essential proteins involved in the innate immune response to viral infection. It is induced by interferons and uses adenosine triphosphate in 2'-specific nucleotidyl transfer reactions to synthesize 2',5'-oligoadenylates (2-5As) . These molecules activate latent RNase L, which results in viral RNA degradation and the inhibition of viral replication.This gene encodes a member of the 2-5A synthetase family, essential proteins involved in the innate immune response to viral infection. The three known members of this gene family are located in a cluster on chromosome 12. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.

All conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil) . Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
